The Pussycat Dolls are currently gearing up to release new music following their triumphant return in January 2020 with the hit single React.
Band member Carmit Bachar has revealed that despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which continues to wreak havoc across the world, the five-piece are still determined to make 2021 their year.
The group had intended to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their last record, Hush Hush, in 2009 but the pandemic which struck in March last year saw their plans put on the back burner.
Carmit, 46, had been set to tour the world with bandmates Ashley Roberts, Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Jessica Sutta but the virus saw them reschedule dates on two occasions.

Addressing their plans, the red-headed beauty appeared on an episode of Sippin’ The Tea and didn’t hold back.
The mum-of-one said: “It’s crazy to think our dates that were rescheduled due to Covid were over a year from our first anticipated show, reunion, ten years later, now eleven years later.
“We sold out the O2 [arena] on two nights, that was such a high and then a crash down but I know everyone experienced that.”
The Don’t Cha songstress continued: “But for us to gear back up, get your mindset to go on tour and we were in promotion for about six months and it was fun, it was getting good and then it just went down.”
Revealing the group intend to make the most of their reunion plans which is sure to delight fans, she teased: “We have a lot in store, we can’t wait to get our show back together.

“The reality is we don’t know what’s going to happen, I’m hoping and praying that summer will be the time.
“We definitely need to do new music, we’re going to come out with new stuff, we’ve been talking and pulling the pieces together but more to come, this will be the year.”
Despite initially being heartbroken when they were forced to abandon their plans, Carmit found a “silver lining” in the pandemic, saying that her “purpose is connecting with others”.
“I was quarantined in my hotel room in the UK terrified that they would close the borders, I was worried for myself, our fans and especially for my family at home,” she said as she recalled the first lockdown period.
Throughout the recent lockdown periods, Carmit has kept her social media followers entertained – often taking part in viral video trends on TikTok with her daughter, Keala, eight.
