Officials in the US have confirmed that the Dallas rapper Lil Loader has died following speculation on social media.
The 20-year-old’s death was confirmed by the Dallas County medical examiner on Monday and by media outlets.
Authorities however have not yet confirmed how Lil Loaded, whose legal name is Dashawn Robertson, died.
According to NBC news an official with the Dallas County medical examiner’s office said the cause and manner of death had not yet been determined.
Loaded was arrested back in October 2020 on suspicion of murder, after shooting and killing his 18-year-old friend Khalil Walker with a rifle, in an incident in Texas.
According to court records the rapper was due in court on Tuesday for an admonishment hearing.
He was charged in March 2021 with one count of manslaughter after the teen died, as a Dallas grand jury decided there was enough evidence to charge him with causing the death.
On the afternoon of October 25, 2020 police were called to the victim’s Dallas home.
He had been shot in the chest and later died from his injuries after being rushed to the Methodist Charlton Medical Center.
