Rapper Slim 400 has died aged 33 following a shooting.
The up and coming rapper was reportedly shot on Wednesday night in Inglewood, LA.
Police sources confirmed to the publication that he was shot, but stated that it’s unclear what circumstances surrounded the shooting and how many suspects were involved.
The rapper was born in Germany before he moved to LA as a child and was raised in Compton, before ultimately getting discovered and signed, with Slim focusing on his career in music ever since.
Slim has 37.9k YouTube subscribers and his most recent music video, Caviar Gold was only released yesterday and currently boasts 15,000 views.
Aside from building up a name for himself in the music industry, Slim was also constantly interacting with all followers and fans on social media.
After the news of his death was released online, fans of the rapper have flooded his Instagram and YouTube with tributes and devastated comments.
As comments flooded his recent post which shared the link to his new track, Caviar Gold, one user wrote: “Hope this isn’t true.”
Another said: “Wtf noooo you were always so chill and down to earth. Prayers to your family and friends.”
A third simply wrote: “Damn, gone too soon.”
In 2019, Slim 400 was shot nine times in LA after the rapper said he was ambushed while visiting family in Compton.
Shortly after the incident, he spoke to a radio station in LA and said that he “thought it was over” when he hit the ground.
He said: “I just feel like when you meant to be here and God have a plan for you, it ain’t no stopping it.
“My family came out, kept my alive, talking to me, dragging me in the house while they still shooting… my family, love her to death for saving me.”
Slim 400 added: “I just feel like I’m blessed to be here ’cause I could have just died then and there.”
He has multiple tracks on his YouTube filled with hit songs and videos.
