The decorated 90s film Richie Rich was a firm fan favourite, and one of childhood star Macaulay Culkin’s most famous films.
From alcoholism, law suits, to stalkers the cast have had their fair share of troubles since featuring in the 1994 film.
Similar to Christmas hit Home Alone, Macaulay again found himself in a large house owned by a wealthy family where the bad guys attempt to take over.

The child star, now 41, has had a difficult life in the spotlight. Suffering from drug abuse a difficult family life and the loss of his two sisters, Macaulay has never had it easy.
Shortly after filming Richie Rich, Macaulay sued his parents for emancipation and $17 million after they started eating away at his trust fund.
In Macaulay’s twenties, he lost both of his sisters. His half-sister Jennifer died of a drug overdose in 2000, and his older sister Dakota died after being hit by a car in 2008.
As Macaulay has grown up, he has balanced a more stable family life. In April earlier this year, Macaulay welcomed his first child, with former Disney Channel star, Brenda Song.
After the pair met on the set of Changeland, their relationship blossomed and they now live together with their son, Dakota who was named after Macaulay’s sister.
Last year Macaulay’s tweet went viral when he wrote: “Hey guys, wanna feel old? I’m 40. You’re welcome.” The tweet became the tenth most-liked tweet of all time.
John Larroquette
John Larroquette, 74, has since starred in The Librarians, The Good Fights and The Twilight Zone.
Best known for his work on sitcoms, including Baa Baa Black Sheep and Night Court, John has been awarded numerous Emmy awards as well as performed on Broadway.
Now, John still acts, but has taken on fewer roles as he gets older. However, he still regularly co-hosts a comedy podcast with his son called “Uhh Yeah Dude.”
John is now tee-total and has been since filming Richie Rich. He gave up alcohol in 1982 after he joked: “I was known to have a cocktail or 60.”
Claudia Schiffer
Richie Rich was Claudia Schiffer’s film debut as the personal fitness trainer to Richie.
The German supermodel, now 51, became renown for her good looks, with many comparing her to Brigitte Bardot.
Now, Claudia lives a more quiet life with her husband, English film director Matthew Vaughn and their three children. However, life has not been idyllic for Claudia, despite what it may seem.
On two occasions the model has had serious incidents with stalkers. In 2002 a kitchen porter was arrested after making nine visits to Claudia’s family home.
Later in 2004, another man was accused of harassing Claudia and repeatedly leaving letters at her home.
This wasn’t the only difficulty Claudia found herself in. She was recently included on the Pandora Papers list. The list revealed Claudia as one of many celebrities who used offshore financial constructs to avoid paying tax.
Edward Hermann
Edward played Richard Rich, the billionaire father of Macualay’s character, Richie.
The American actor, director and writer was best known for playing Franklin D. Roosevelt in the miniseries Eleanor and Franklin (1976) at the time, but since when on to become a recognisable face on Gilmore Girls, playing Lorelie’s father.
