Rylan Clark-Neal 'splits from husband Dan after six years of marriage'

The One Show presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has reportedly split from his husband Dan Neal after six years of marriage.

A source recently told The Sun: “Rylan’s one of the most beloved people on TV so fans will be sad to hear what has happened.

“He often spoke of their relationship on air and they even co-hosted an episode of This Morning but unfortunately things haven’t worked out.”

“They don’t want to discuss it in public and a bit of time off is probably for the best for now.”

Ex-Big Brother star Dan is understood to have moved out of the Essex home he rented with Rylan.

Daily Star has contacted Rylan’s representative for comment.

Rylan and Dan first met in 2013, after Rylan’s appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.

Former police officer Dan was also a contestant in the non-celebrity version of Big Brother in the same year.

Rylan interviewed Dan on Big Brother’s spin-off show, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, after the contestant was evicted.

The couple’s budding friendship quickly became more serious and the pair decided to tie the knot two years later.

Earlier this year, Rylan revealed that he desperately tried to keep his wedding a secret, but a close friend leaked the story to the press.

Speaking candidly on the Grounded with Louis Theroux podcast, the It Takes Two presenter said: “It turned out to be a guest at the wedding had told the press to get a payout.

“It turned out to be someone within the industry [who already had] money, just to get themselves in the paper,” he expressed.

The couple often kept their marriage very private and away from media attention.

In 2017, while being interviewed for YouTube channel BUILD Series LDN, Rylan gave certain details about Dan and working in the media.

The star said: “Me and Dan don’t work together, we’re not that sort of couple that do the magazines and stuff like that.

“Good for you if that’s what you want to do. I hate it, I can’t stand it.

“So when me and Dan did This Morning, the only reason why we did that was because it was such a big deal as we were the first gay couple to do it and it meant something, you know what I mean,” he explained.

During the interview, the star admitted that he loved Dan but they constantly rowed “all the time.”

Recently fans became concerned for Rylan’s welfare after he hadn’t appeared on his Radio 2 programme for seven weeks.

He’s also not been present on Instagram, where he is known to be an avid user.
