Rylan Clark-Neal to return to TV on Strictly's It Takes Two next month

Rylan Clark-Neal is said to be returning to our screens soon.

The 32-year-old took a step back from showbiz for a spell following the breakdown of his marriage to husband Dan Neal. At the time, he missed a string of work events and spent time focusing on his wellbeing.

But three months later, it looks like the charismatic Essex lad is ready for his comeback – and what better show for it than Strictly’s It Takes Two.

He will be joined by Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara, 37, in May this year, host Zoe Ball, 50, confirmed she wouldn’t be coming back to present on the show.

A source told The Sun that Rylan had needed the time out of the spotlight to focus on himself and his wellbeing but he’s ready to come back now as he has “missed working”.

The source said: “It’s all looking positive and the team at It Takes Two always have a lot of fun filming. It’s a joyful show to work on.

“Of course, everyone backstage wants what’s best for Rylan and aren’t putting pressure on him.”

At the time of the split Rylan had been absent for seven weeks from his Radio 2 show and also missed hosting EuroVision and This Morning.

He also took a break from social media as he focused on himself and his family.

He then released a statement saying: “I have taken time away from work as I am not in a good place at the moment and am seeking help.

“I am trying to take each day at a time and would like to thank you to everyone for their support and for respecting our privacy at this time.”

Rylan’s fans are excited to see his bubbly personality back on their TV screens as he returns for Strictly It Takes Two.

The show will resume when Strictly Come Dancing returns next month with all the backstage gossip, and Janette Manrara will be joining Rylan for her first time as a co-host.

At the time of the announcement, she said: “It’s a dream come true to become part of the It Takes Two team!

“Although it’s impossible to fill in the shoes of a legend like Zoe Ball, I hope to make her and all of the Strictly fans proud. I will miss dancing on that iconic dance floor weekly, but forever grateful to continue being a part of the Strictly Come Dancing family!”
