Sarah Harding says Christmas 2020 was 'probably my last' as cancer spreads

Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding has harrowingly shared that Christmas 2020 was “probably [her] last”.

Sarah’s heartbreaking comments come as it was revealed that her cancer had spread to her spine.

In excerpts from the 39-year-old singer’s book, which were published in The Times, Sarah spoke openly about her cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Sharing her experiences in Hear Me Out, Sarah explains: “In December my doctor told me that the upcoming Christmas would probably be my last.” And she adds later: “I’m at a stage now where I don’t know how many months I have left.”

Sarah is also considering treatment options for a secondary tumour at the base of her spine, that has possibly grown into her brain.

However, she doesn’t want to undergo radiotherapy as she doesn’t want to lose her hair.

In the book, Sarah also revealed that she nearly died from sepsis and was in a two-week coma after her cancer diagnosis.

“The trouble was the pain was getting worse. It got so bad that I couldn’t sleep in a bed. Eventually my skin started to bruise. By now I was terrified.”

She added: “One day I woke up realising I’d been in denial. Yes there was a pandemic but it was almost as if I’d been using that as an excuse not to face up to the fact that something was very wrong.”

It’s understood Sarah went onto explain how she was rushed to hospital where she was placed in intensive care.
