Saturday Kitchen fans fear for Ricky Wilson comparing food hell to 'diarrhoea'

BBC’s Saturday Kitchen fans were left “retching” as host Matt Tebbutt aired this weeks food hell for Ricky Wilson who was a guest on the show.

The Kaiser Chief frontman explained that his worst nightmare would be the combination of coriander and egg with his food heaven being lamb in a rich gravy.

Taking onboard his feedback, Matt told viewers to head over to the app to vote for one of the two concoctions he’d created for the singer.

One plate showcased a medium cooked roast lamb, a thick bbq reduction and seasonal veg, the second included his two pet hates along with curry and roasted aubergine puree.

Fans of the show were pretty horrified as they headed online to select a dish for The Voice judge.

One tweet read: “Glad to see you’re up Rick .. def gotta be food heaven … egg curry with aubergine.. pure filth #SaturdayKitchen it’s just wrong!

Another wrote: “Having seen the photos and descriptions of the dishes, voting food heaven for Ricky. Food hell looks like baby poo with an egg stuck on top. Plus I hate aubergines.”

Fans took to Twitter fearing for frontman Ricky Wilson

While a third exclaimed: “Sorry, Ricky, I voted hell because you may be surprised by the curry even though it looks like diarrhoea.”

It was later established that Ricky may have cheated the system as he later explained to Matt that he “would’t eat cheese”.

He explained that when thinking up his food hell, he instead toyed with ingredients that he would actually eat, rather than those he wouldn’t.

Matt looked puzzled but laughed at Ricky’s admission, explaining that the purpose was to select something he actually disliked.

Fortunately for Ricky, he dodged a bullet with 70 percent of viewers opting to serve up his food heaven which was butterflied leg of lamb.
