Hollywood star Sharon Stone has taken to social media, sharing the shattering news that her 11-month-old nephew, River, has died.
The youngster was rushed to hospital several days ago after suffering from organ failure she revealed on Instagram, asking fans to pray for the tot who needed a “miracle”.
Taking to Instagram, Sharon, 63, shared a video montage of RIver just days after revealing he had been hospitalised with “total organ failure”.
Captioning her video, she penned: “River William Stone. Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021.”
River, who was also Sharon’s godson, was the son of her younger brother, Patrick and his wife Tasha, who reside in Ohio along with their three children.
Underneath the comment section of the emotional video of River, accompanied by Eric Clapton’s Tears In Heaven, celebrities and fans offered their condolences to Sharon and her family.
“This breaks my heart. I’m in pieces right now,” said Leslie Jordan.
While Sean Hayes penned: “Ugh. I’m sitting here in tears. I’m so sorry, Sharon. What a beautiful boy. Sending all my love to you and your family.”
“I am so sorry. My Lord,” typed Selma Blair.
Before Jaimie Alexander added: “Sharon, I’m so very sorry for your loss. This is incredibly heartbreaking. My love, prayers and thoughts to you and your family.”
A heartbroken Sharon is yet to make further comment on River’s tragic passing just three days after saying he was holding on for dear life while in a coma.
“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today. Please pray for him. We need a miracle [sic],” she penned while sharing a picture of River hooked up to several hospital machines.
River’s mum, Tasha, had also urged her social media followers to keep the little one in their prayers after he was hospitalised.
Taking to Facebook, she penned: “This is the HARDEST thing I have ever had to post but I am BEGGING everyone and anyone who prays please pray HARD for River.
“Every single second of this is literally killing me. I just want my sweet sweet boy back.”
She added: “The doctor said if he does pull through he will never be the same.
“Please I am begging for prayers that my baby can be healed and come back with his family who loves him so very much. I am beyond heartbroken.”
Earlier this week, Sharon said: “Every parent’s worse nightmare is to see those children suffering and not being able to do something about it. Sending so much love and energy his ways. I hope he makes a full recovery soon and back into his parent’s arms where he belongs.”
