Simon Cowell has been caught carrying along what appears to be a portable oxygen tank as he enjoyed a date night in London.
The X Factor boss, 61, was spotted riding in the back of a luxury car with his 43-year-old girlfriend Lauren Silverman after the pair had enjoyed a meal at Harry’s Bar in London.
The music mogul was seen sporting his trademark look – a white shirt unbuttoned half way down his chest topped off with a classic black suit.
Simon’s striking girlfriend Lauren, who is the mother of Simon’s son Eric, was wearing a pretty patterned dress for the fancy occasion.
She managed to keep herself warm by wrapping a black cardigan around her shoulders for the leisurely car journey.
In the snap, the mysterious object was placed on top of the car’s wood and leather arm rest.
The item in question, which was sitting next to what appears to be a green box of cigarettes for smoker Simon, looked like a plastic cylindrical contraption with a tube poking out the top of it.
It appeared that the tube had a mouth piece attached to the end of it, which suggests it could be a portable breathing device of sorts.
This comes as music maestro Simon is reportedly enjoying a luxury staycation with his family in Oxfordshire.
As we previously reported, Simon along with Lauren and Eric have been spending their Bank Holiday at an exclusive celebrity haunt called Soho Farmhouse.
A source told Daily Star Online: “Simon is back living in London and with America’s Got Talent kicking off on Tuesday the bank holiday weekend was the perfect time to get away.
“He was seen enjoying some down time in the sun with Lauren and Eric at Soho Farmhouse.
“People obviously recognised him but no one bothered him. It’s the perfect home away from home and allows celebs to unwind away from the cameras.”
Syco boss Simon has been spending some quality time with his family ahead of the launch of America’s Got Talent.
The star is also currently recovering from spinal surgery following his horror electric bike accident at his Malibu home left him with a broken back and dangerously close to paralysing himself.
Impressively, Simon was recently seen riding an electric bike again nearly a year after the brutal accident, after he was spotted cruising along the coastline with Lauren and Eric.
After the nightmare bike fall, the talent show star was rushed to hospital and had to undergo a lengthy six-hour emergency back surgery – and the process involved having a metal rod inserted into his back.
Simon even poked fun at himself on social media after the accident last year, taking to Twitter to write: “Some good advice…
“If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back.”
He signed off: “Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.”
