Simon Cowell whisks Lauren and Eric to Soho Farmhouse for family staycation

Simon Cowell whisked partner Lauren Silverman and their son Eric off for a Bank Holiday staycation to exclusive celebrity haunt Soho Farmhouse, Daily Star can reveal.

The X Factor mogul was seen enjoying the UK heatwave last weekend at the Oxfordshire membership club as temperatures soared around the country.

Dressed down in a t-shirt and shorts, Simon, 61, looked carefree and relaxed as he enjoyed some family time ahead of the launch of America’s Got Talent.

The Syco boss is currently recovering from spinal surgery following a horror electric bike fall left him dangerously close to paralysing himself and breaking his back.

A source told Daily Star Online: “Simon is back living in London and with America’s Got Talent kicking off on Tuesday the bank holiday weekend was the perfect time to get away.

“He was seen enjoying some down time in the sun with Lauren and Eric and Soho Farmhouse.

“People obviously recognised him but no one bothered him. It’s the perfect home away from home and allows celebs to unwind away from the cameras.”

While Piers has kept tight lipped on the exact details, Piers said: “I saw Simon Cowell recently, and of course he got me my first big break in America.

“We walked for three hours.

“I got terrible blisters but I didn’t dare tell him because it felt like he was going to keep going until one of us surrendered.

“We talked about a few opportunities – I would like to work with him again.”

Simon and Piers first worked together in a decade and a half ago after the X Factor judge gave him a judging spot on 2006’s edition of America’s Got Talent.

A year later Piers was bumped up to the British version of the show when it launched on ITV in 2007 alongside Amanda Holden.

Piers remained on the show until 2011 when he was replaced by comedian Michael McIntyre in 2011.

Britain’s Got Talent is expected to return early 2022 after being put on ice for 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.

Simon and ITV bosses decided to axe production as it would have been logistically impossible for the show to be created with social distancing measures in place.
