Jessie Ware has given birth to a “beautiful baby boy,” welcoming the newborn with her husband of seven years Sam Burrows.
The hitmaker, 36, announced her son’s arrival with a photo on Instagram, which showed her cradling the infant as he slept in her arms.
Her third child, Jessie opted for a home birth, the baby born in a birthing pool as a team of midwives and nurses guided her through the delivery.
“Our beautiful baby boy arrived safely at home on Thursday evening!” Jessie exclaimed, as her fans rushed to congratulate her.
The singer also shared a heartfelt message of thanks, describing the gratitude she feels towards the midwives who helped to bring her son into the world.
“Biggest thanks to the Lewisham Poppie Homebirth team, Sue, Flo & Lynn, lovely Mary from the labour ward at Lewisham Hospital, Aimee, Anna, dear Gowri @gentlebirthmethod and of course my @samburrowspt for the 5am sideways walks up a hill, the slow dances, the hardcore back rubs and the constant encouragement and confidence you had in me.
“It took a village of mighty women (and Sam) to get this little man here and I’m so so grateful.”
She finished with a tribute to the NHS, writing: “We are so very lucky to have the NHS and the special people that work there xxx.”
Sam and Jessie went to the same school as teens, and their childhood friendship eventually blossomed into a romance when they turned 18.
“Sam and I have been together since we were 18. We know everything about each other. There’s something so beautiful about that,” she previously said in an interview with The Guardian.
After Sam proposed on the Greek island of Skopelos, the couple decided to marry in the same idyllic location, saying “I do” in August 2014.
Jessie welcomed their first child, a girl, in 2016, followed by the arrival of their second – a baby boy – in June of 2019.
The Wildest Moments songstress announced she was pregnant for a third time on The Graham Norton Show in February, the Irish broadcaster sharing a message of congratulations.
After her performance on the show, she told fans: “Just woken up to such lovely messages about The Graham Norton Show performance. Thank you! And thanks for the mazels on the bump.”
