Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon has updated her fans on her recent hospital visit, after her son Rex suffered a “nightmare” accident during the weekend.
The two-year-old found himself in a dire situation after an unexpected fall in the garden required him to have stitches.
After the accident, Stacey updated her fans online from the hospital and shared a cute picture of herself and her son while they waited for a free hospital bed.
Captioning the snap on her Instagram stories, the star wrote: “We are here and waiting for a bed and a time slot. We are going to play some games and try to keep his mind off of food.
“I can’t wait to take him for his favourite meal as soon as we are out of here.”
On Monday morning, the Loose Women star took to Instagram again to provide details on what actually happened over the weekend.
She also revealed that her fiancé Joe Swash was in tears and had to leave the hospital room while his son received stitches.
Stacey told her 4.5million Instagram followers: “We had a nightmare yesterday. Rex fell over in the garden and we were like, ‘Up you get.’ Then we looked and it was not an ‘up you get’ situation.
“He hurt his lip so we took him into A&E and he had some little butterfly strips put on.”
She added: “I’m going back today to get him proper stitches, because it’s in a really awkward place.
“But he was so good and he didn’t make a sound. He was just like: ‘Yeah, fix it,’ to the doctor. But he was so good.”
Turning her phone to Joe who was sitting besides her in the clip, the ex-EastEnders star said: “Honestly, when the kids are hurt I panic like nobody’s business.”
Stacey continued: “He had to leave the room and he was crying. Bless your soul. I’ll be looking after Joe today more than Rex – I love you.”
