Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman shocked fans as she broke her tradition of wearing black on the show as she stole the show in a glam new look.

Over the weekend, the TV star co-hosted Strictly with Tess Daly as she wowed in a colourful dress, leaving fans stunned with a gorgeous snap.

The 49-year-old took to Instagram to share a snap of her new look before the show aired as she posed in a bright red dress with polka dots as she stared away from the camera backstage.

She finished the look of with a pair of white pointed toe heels and styled her black locks in her usual hair do.

Thanking her team, she penned: “Strictly is on in 6 minutes. Thank you so much to @sinadmckeefry @marcosgmakeup @amyhair4.”

Fans were quick to comment on her glam new look with one saying she is: “Channelling your inner Minnie Mouse!”

Another said: “Glad to see ur not in a black outfit tonight for a change.”

A third commented: “YOU ARE WEARING A COLOUR.”

“Lovely to see you in a colour much nicer,” said a fourth.

“Loving this break from your usual black,” added another.

Following Claudia’s post, Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies and partner Aljaz Skorjanec were the seventh couple eliminated from this years Strictly.

The pair faced Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin in the dance-off following the public vote.

Social media star Tilly and Nikita also landed in the bottom two the previous week against Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and Katya Jones, but they were saved by the judges for a second time.

Sara and Aljaz danced their Argentine tango to No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) by Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand again in the dance-off, but it was not enough to save them from being booted out of the competition.

Nikita and Tilly were saved unanimously by the judges after they performed their quickstep to I Won’t Dance by Damita Jo.
