Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas leaves fans speechless in show-stopping dress

Strictly Come Dancing siren Shirley Ballas left social media fans speechless as she entered the famous ballroom during Sunday’s results show.

The Wirral-born star slipped into a one-shouldered gown that showcased her figure in all its glory.

Shirley, 61, looked every inch the superstar as she made her way to her seat as head judge on the hit BBC dancing competition.

The dance superstar exuded Hollywood glamour in the one-shouldered number as she beamed for the cameras after posing up a storm backstage.

Shirley opted to keep her makeup simple yet glam as she wore a touch of red lipstick on her plump pout paired with a classic dark eyeliner around her peepers.

The star wore her brunette tresses in a Marilyn Monroe style, with loose curls being pinned back while she opted for large gold earrings that cascaded freely.

Fans couldn’t help but gush as they took to social media, with one penning: “SHIRLEY!! Yowzer. Limelicious. #Strictly.”

While a second saying: “@bbcstrictly #strictly Wow. Shirley looks so gorgeous in green on tonight’s RS show, very elegant indeed Shirley, im speechless. Always best Judge on Strictly.”

“Shirley’s looking well glam #Strictly,” wrote a third.

Before a fourth typed: “That’s a lovely colour Shirley is wearing. #Strictly.”

Shirley has previously confessed that she debated not returning to the show after her first year in 2017 after realising just how famous she would become.

The dancer replaced head judge Len Goodman who left the show after 14 series because it was “time to hand the role of head judge to someone else”, which ultimately saw Shirley join.

However, it was almost over as quickly as it began, with Shirley confessing to The Sun that she asked her mum whether she should return.

Shirley said the fame of Strictly has been “hard to deal with”, adding that it’s vital to be resilient when people say unkind things.

The famous judge said: “When the producers asked me back for a second go, I asked my mother if she thought it was a good idea. It is invasive on your private life but, eventually, we decided it would be ok to do it again.”

Shirley didn’t have any TV experience when she applied for the show, but she was adamant to make a stand against bullying in dancing.

The dance star who has earned herself the nickname The Queen of Latin has now had multiple TV appearances since her debut on the dancing show and remains a popular judge on the panel.
