The infamous ‘Strictly curse’ is not involved in AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington’s newly exposed romance — because they were both single before the show started.
The revelation comes after sources told The Mail on Sunday that the dance partners ‘are dating’ after falling for each other during their time together on the show.
Rumours had begun to fly online after TV presenter Kai, 33, was seen whispering sweet nothings into 28-year-old dancing professional AJ’s ear at the end of one performance, appearing to say: “I love you, I love you so much.”
The insider told the Mail on Sunday: “Kai thinks A. J. is sexy.

“They have this lovely romance going on, things have definitely changed in the last week or so and they are inseparable, not just as dance partners but away from that, too.
“It’s nice to see a Strictly romance where there is no curse, just two people who have fallen head over heels for each other.”
“Those involved in the show have been watching this closely over the weeks and have thought this was always on the cards. It’s lovely.”
Strictly fans on Twitter have been commenting on the chemistry between the two for weeks, and appear to have spotted their fling before the news leaked out.

One named ‘MillieSansoye’ tweeted: “You can’t tell me AJ and Kai aren’t in love. The look in their eyes at the end!”
Another wrote: “AJ and Kai are more than friends.”
A so-called ‘curse’ on the contestants on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, also sometimes called the ‘cult of Strictly’, has been doing the rounds since the show started almost two decades ago.
It refers to the pattern of contestants dumping their spouses or significant others, sometimes after being unfaithful, and becoming romantically involved with their dance partner instead.
Thankfully, AJ and Kai have both been single since filming began on Strictly’s 19th season back in September.
