Strictly Come Dancing fans reckon Adam Peaty and Katya Jones “almost kissed” as they finished their latest routine.
The dancing duo performed an Argentine Tango to Tango in the Night by Fleetwood Mac, and scored an impressive 32 from the judges.
As the routine came to a close, Adam held Katya in a tight embrace with their faces centimetres apart, and some viewers even thought they heard him tell her: “I love you.”
However, some others thought he said: “How did I do?”
One person tweeted: “I think I noticed a semi pucker-up then.”
Another wrote: “Did Adam just go to kiss Katya?”
A third said: “Was it just me that saw Adam and Katya nearly kiss and was it just me or did he say I love you?”
Someone else commented: “Adam Peaty definitely looking like he’s gone in for a kiss there… and remembered where he is.”
And a fifth added: “Oh, was that almost a snog we witnessed?”
Adam’s girlfriend Eirinedd Munro appeared to suggest she had no worries about her man falling victim to the so-called Strictly curse this week.
The beauty, who shares a baby son with Adam, posed in a crop top and leggings on Instagram, and wrote the caption: “Not worried.”
Some fans assumed she was referencing the close friendship between Adam and Katya, as they continue to dominate the dancefloor.
And while Adam is happily loved-up with Eirinedd, there’s no surprise some fans think there could be something more growing with Katya.
He recently told The Times: “My hips are here, hers are here, and then we do this… You get close. I can see how it happens.”
Adam and Eiri have been dating since the start of 2020 after they met on Tinder, while at Loughborough University, where he was training and she was studying Fine Art.
Katya previously said the dancing show “empowered” people to make difficult decisions in their lives and helps them “realise they could do better”.
She was married to fellow pro Neil Jones, however she was caught up in a scandal in 2018 after she was photographed kissing her celeb partner Seann Walsh, who was also in a relationship at the time.
Katya and Neil, as well as Seann and his partner, split up after the scandal.
The professional dancer later told The Sun: “Obviously there have been lots of stories… but also there are so many more examples of nothing happening, and people being happy at home with their families.
“But I think some people get empowered by it because of the sense of achievement they get from doing this brilliant show.
“Maybe they didn’t have the confidence, or the strength, to do these things before, or maybe some people were in long-term, unhappy relationships and doing Strictly empowered them to realise they could do better.”
Strictly continues Sunday at 7.10pm on BBC One
