Strictly winner Rose Ayling-Ellis set to quit EastEnders job 'within months'

Rose Ayling-Ellis is reportedly planning to quit EastEnders within the next couple of months after winning Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress, 27, who plays Frankie Lewis on the BBC soap, took the top spot and was handed the glitterball trophy with her pro dance partner Giovanni Pernice, 31.

She is now being lined up for a number of high-profile projects, says The Sun, after her co-stars on the show predict her character’s time in Walford will come to an end soon.

Currently, the deaf star’s character in EastEnders has been written out of the script until next month when she is expected to return.

However, the soap’s bosses are said to be concerned after it was reported the BBC were eyeing her up for a drama in which the lead character is deaf.

The pair were crowned winners after dancing against John Whaite, 32, and his pro partner Johannes Radebe, 34, in the most diverse final the show’s ever had.

Due to her Strictly success, Rose has been tipped to make £1million and become a huge global star.

According to reports, she has been bombarded with big-money offers in recent weeks – including some from US TV networks.

Next year, the star’s career is set to skyrocket as she cashes in on her popularity.

Top agent Barry Tomes, who has worked in showbiz for 50 years, said: “The world is at her feet. She could earn over £1million in 2022.

“With a calm agent who isn’t in it for a quick buck, she will easily earn that. And she’ll deserve every single penny of it.

“There is already talk of her doing movies. I’ve heard roles are being offered to her.

“I’d love to have a client like Rose. The public adores her. She’s so natural. You don’t feel like there’s an agenda in what she’s doing.”

During her Strictly stint, she captured the nation’s hearts with her personality and jaw-dropping dances.

Rose wanted to use her experience to prove that deaf people can do anything.

She said: “I wanted to show how much deaf people have to work for things – and we still have a smile on our face, we still have joy.

“I’m very proud of myself – I’ve broken people’s perceptions.”
