Strictly's Shirley Ballas shares emotional health update after 'alarming' test results

Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas has updated her fans on her health after weeks of experiencing crippling anxiety following her doctor telling her he was “alarmed” over her test results.

The popular Strictly head judge has taken to social media to share her gratitude of the status of her health, while confirming that her kidneys have been declared cancer-free in a health update.

Exclaiming on Instagram, “I can now breathe!” 61-year-old Shirley Ballas posted a video update direct from her bed.

This came after viewers of the popular BBC One dancing show spotted a lump under her arm, before urging her to seek medical attention.

Taking to Instagram, Shirley informed them that test results are “absolutely fine”.

She continued: “Now I need to have my boobies checked one more time when I have a minute.

“My hormones are still all over the place today so starting today with some oestrogen to see if we can balance the body better…”

After heading to the doctors, she had alarmed them with her high testosterone levels and “lack of oestrogen” – which they had to check to ensure it wasn’t cancer.
