Susanna Reid and Alistair Campbell haven’t even kicked off a series of episodes which will see them co-host Good Morning Britain together, but already they are playfully locking horns online.
On Sunday night Susanna, 50, took to her official Twitter account to tease the arrival of her new temporary GMB co-host.
Writing to her 827,000 followers, the ITV regular penned: “What a week for @campbellclaret to join the @gmb desk.
“Wins for Boris, Labour’s future (and past), Scotland’s independence… All up for some rather lively debate.”
Alistair, 63, quickly saw the tweet and replied – publicly correcting Susanna for failing to refer to the Prime Minister by his surname as is accustom with global politicians.

The former Labour spin-doctor wrote: “His name is Mr Johnson. Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson! And tho he had wins he also had defeats! I shall of course be fair and balanced!!”
Luckily it seems Susanna didn’t mind the correction as she also retweeted Alistair’s comment.
Talking about taking to the host seat last month, Alistair said: “I am flattered to be asked and delighted that my stint will coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week as Good Morning Britain has always championed good mental health.

“I am also looking forward to getting stuck into the big political and social issues at such an important and difficult time for the country, as well as brushing up my knowledge on some of the subjects that will take me out of my comfort zone.”
The controversial star added: “In addition, there is an element of finishing unfinished business here.
“Back in the mid 90s I was a regular presenter of the paper reviews on BBC Breakfast and during the week the former Labour Leader John Smith died.
“I was in discussions with the programme about becoming a presenter.
“John’s sad death led to me working for Tony Blair and my life and career took a very different course…”

Good Morning Britain has seen a series of guest presenters since Piers Morgan sensationally quit the show amid a row over Meghan Markle.
Piers was the centre of a national storm which saw tens of thousands of complaints to Ofcom after he said he didn’t believe a world the Duchess of Sussex said in her Oprah tell-all.
He was asked to offer an on air apology to the former Suits actress but refused as he said it would be a lie as he doesn’t believe her allegations against the Royal family.
