The Chase's Bradley Walsh scolds Richard Madeley as he interrupts singing moment

Presenter Bradley Walsh didn’t want anyone to steal his shine on Saturday’s episode of The Celebrity Chase as he scolded Richard Madeley for ruining his singing moment.

Richard was faced with the task of figuring out how many days were in specific months, which he managed to do fairly quickly.

But the question also gave room to Bradley’s golden moment to have a sing-along.

Although Bradley appeared to not know all the words to the famous Thirty Days Hath September tune, he certainly didn’t want Richard to interrupt his performance and made sure he told him not to.

As Richard tried to chime in while giving his answer to his question, Bradley sniped at the star.

Bradley said, jokingly: “You’re ruining my song!”

Taken aback by the presenter’s brash comment, Richard found Bradley’s remark fairly humorous and laughed it off.

Some viewers at home also tried to work out the question for themselves too. With one viewer taking to Twitter to comment: “I only ever use the “knuckle method” of working out how many days are in each month. Anyone else?”

Morning broadcaster Richard did very well in the programme and managed to secure his place in the final round alongside Ore Oduba and Perry Fenwick.

But although the celebs collectively raised an impressive £90,000 for their charities, they were unable to beat chaser Anne Hegerty.

Feeling disheartened, the celebs apologised to each other near the end of the show.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer spoke frankly about the disappointing final round: “It must take some amount of mental gymnastics for a chaser to persuade themselves that they’ve not personally deprived charities of £1,000s in the celeb specials.”

The news of the celeb’s loss comes after some viewers noticed that the episode had been repeated several times before.

Expressing their views on Twitter, some fans aired their annoyance.

One viewer penned: “How many times have itv repeated this celeb episode of #TheChase ffs.”

While another questioned: “This episode has been on dozens of times, is Richard Madely in charge of programming?”
