Host Bradley Walsh couldn’t hide his laughter as The Chase star Paul Sinha opened up about a number of grisly foot injuries he’d sustained over the years.
The Chaser, who is better known as The Sinnerman on the quiz programme, couldn’t resist mocking contestant Ian who had admitted to being a “Lego enthusiast”.
Taking a swipe at Ian, the 51-year-old explained that the plastic building blocks had caused him a lot of pain in recent years.
He said: “Because of my children, I have suffered over 17,000 foot injuries in the last two years.”
The Chase fans raced to their keyboards after one of Friday’s contestants Netrice decided to opt for the lower offer.
At one point viewers of the programme assumed that Netrice would be the only player to make it back with just £1000 in the back as The Sinnerman had been playing a blinding game.
Having knocked out two contenders online users assumed Netrice would be going it alone.
Fortunately, Lego enthusiast Ian did manage to make it back to join Netrice in the final – bringing back £6,000 to add to the prize fund.
However, the twosome weren’t exactly a dynamite team and kept buzzing over one another and only managed to get 12 questions correct.
Host Bradley Walsh told them: “You’re going to need push-backs.”
The Sinnerman had been on fire with his questions all evening but stumbled on the first question.
Bradley asked: “What part of the body does a horse use to swat flies away?”
Paul thought about his answer for quite some time before he finally added: “Tail,” which was the right answer.
With more than a minute on the clock Ian and Netrice were caught by the Chaser and didn’t win any of the cash.
The Chase airs on ITV on weekdays at 5pm.
