Thomas Markle cursed during an appearance on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, uttering the word “b******” while discussing allegations of racism within the Royal family.
Susanna Reid was forced to apologise on Thomas’ behalf, immediately picking up on the curse word which had aired on live television.
He said: “This whole thing colour and about how dark the baby is is b******.”
“Firstly we need to apologise for the language,” Susanna remarked.
He continued: “I married a very beautiful black woman and had a beautiful child and if she had turned out dark it wouldn’t have been a problem, if she had turned out anything in between it wouldn’t have been a problem. Beautiful baby.”
Susanna then asked Thomas whether the allegations of racism within the monarchy ought to be investigated.
He replied: “A racist comment should be investigated.
“All I’m saying is it could have been just a stupid question from someone. Someone who does not understand a black person marries a white person, what do you get, you know? You get a baby.
“Maybe we’re getting a little too political on here.”
Meghan Markle’s estranged father appeared on GMB to discuss her interview with Oprah Winfrey, which saw the Duchess of Sussex address her relationship with her dad.
Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan revealed there had been “concerns” about the colour of her son Archie’s skin, as she recounted a conversation Harry had with another Royal.
Meghan said that within the Royal household there were “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born”.
Harry confirmed the conversation had taken place, though he refused to share the identity of the person who had made the remark.

Meghan also touched on her estranged relationship with Thomas in the interview, revealing she had “lost” her father in the media frenzy of her marriage.
“I grieve a lot,” she said in the interview.
“I mean, I’ve lost my father. I lost a baby. I nearly lost my name. I mean, there’s the loss of identity. But I’m still standing, and my hope for people in the takeaway from this is to know that there’s another side.”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
