Tipping Point fans perplexed as Ben Shephard makes 'well-hung' observation

Tipping Point returned to our screens on Thursday and presenter Ben Shephard left fans feeling flustered with a cheeky comment.

The 45-year-old host welcomed four contestants to the famous ITV studio as they battled it out to win the highly sought-after cash prizes.

Zahim, Lucy, Harry and Patricia answered a series of questions to win turns on an arcade-style machine.

Dropping tokens down a choice of four chutes, they each hoped to knock piles of the counters off a moving shelf – the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.

During the second round of the tense competition, Ben pointed out that the coins were stacking up nicely for contestant Patricia.

He told the player that the counters on shelf were “seriously well-hung” with a smirk on his face.

Viewers at home couldn’t believe their ears and rushed to their keyboards to discuss Ben’s cheeky comment.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Ben just wanted to say ‘well hung’ on tv.”

Another added: “Well hung – @benshephard you little devil.”

A third person posted: “Ben mentioned well hung.”

While a fourth viewer wrote: “‘Well hung shelf’ Ben is getting a bit” alongside an aubergine emoji.

“‘Well hung tweets accompanied with Kenneth Williams gif klaxon,” a fifth person quipped.

Harry was the first contestant to be sent packing during the latest episode of the ITV game show.

Welsh player Lucy followed after the second round, leaving it down to Zhaim and Patrica to battle it out for a place in the final.

Patrica was lucky contestant to make it through to the last round.

Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
