Tipping Point fans urge excited contestant to calm down during ITV quiz show

Tipping Point viewers have encouraged one contestant to hold back a little as she clapped with excitement following a correct answer to a question asked by Ben Shephard.

It’s not surprising that Shirley was a little happy as she finally answered a question right which allowed her to get through to the second round – so she was left clapping her hands together as she landed it.

While many viewers welcomed her excitement as a happy contestant, others asked her to calm down as she shared her joy on-screen.

One viewer took to Twitter to highlight Shirley’s reaction, writing: “Shirley is so excited isn’t she.”

Meanwhile, others were quick to complain about her happy exterior.

One person wrote: “Shirley, tone it down.”

While another person chirped: “Would you calm down Shirley?”

Their complaints were quickly over as Shirley was booted out during the second round, sending just Curtis and John to fight for the jackpot prize in the final.

However, Shirley didn’t go anywhere without a final quip from Ben, after she ran out of time during a final question when she answered “PS, I Love You,” seeing Ben jokingly respond to the statement.

As the pair laughed it off and she said her goodbyes, she made it clear that she had a good day on the show, but her heading to the final round was not meant to be.

Instead, Curtis and John went into the third round to see who can make it to the final, but after bagging £900 in comparison to John’s £1,550, Curtis had also found his Tipping Point.

As he sailed through the final round, John managed to bag himself £3,050, a speedboat ride and a weekend spa break.

Ben offered him the chance to ditch all his money in exchange for three more goes to land the £10,000 cash, but he declined, heading home with a still rather full pocket.

He said the money will be going towards his gold wedding anniversary in the hopes of heading on a cruise next year – so it’ll be money well spent.

Tipping Point continues tomorrow at 4pm on ITV.
