Vigil stars' famous families – Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and Doctor Who stint

BBC’s police drama Vigil might have a star-studded cast, but some fans might not know just how famous some of their family members are, too.

The six-part police miniseries, which started airing on BBC One in August, has managed to recruit a whole host of well-known stars.

The show’s sparkling line-up includes Line of Duty legend Martin Compston, Doctor Foster’s leading lady Suranne Jones, and Game of Thrones stars Rose Leslie and Stephen Dillane.

However, some fans might be forgiven for not knowing that these actors have some very famous family members, who are showbiz stars in their own right.

With the nail-biting submarine series in full flow, the Daily Star have taken a look at the famous family members of the cast Vigil.

Young Frank starred as 16-year-old Tom alongside the likes of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Alan Rickman during his time in the world famous franchise.

In 2015, he went on to appear as Nick Clark on AMC zombie horror, Fear The Walking Dead until 2018.

She met her handsome Hollywood beau Kit Harington on the set of the fantasy HBO series, Game of Thrones.

The smitten pair were both working on the show when sparks flew in 2011, and they even played on-screen lovers John Snow and Ygritte – with Kit shooting to stardom as the leading man of the fantasy series.

The sweethearts tied the knot in June 2018 at a summer wedding in the countryside with their friends, family and fellow stars in attendance.

They wed in a lush 12th century castle in Aberdeenshire, which is owned by Rose’s family.

Speaking about how he fell for Rose on the set, Kit told Vogue Italia: “Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.

The pair met at the Hudson hotel in LA, where Tianna was working as a nightclub manager, and apparently Martin had tried to woo her with a variety of Irish songs.
