Former Coronation Street star Tupele Dorgu is most remembered by fans for playing the loveable and hilarious character Kelly Crabtree in the long-running soap.
Tupele, now 43, was loved by viewers and quickly made a name for herself due to her comical one liners and outlandish dress sense while on the show from 2004 to 2010.
As well as her close relationship with on/off boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney, played by Craig Charles, the underworld machinist also had an ongoing feud with barmaid Becky Granger, played by actress Katherine Kelly.
Though the character was loved by several Corrie viewers, Tupele decided not to renew her contract with the soap and departed from the show in 2010.
It has not been over a decade since Tupele left Coronation Street and although her life has completely changed, she didn’t leave soapland for good.
The star has since appeared in several British TV shows and long-running soaps – which include playing the character Dr Berrington in Hollyoaks.
Not only this but she was also in recurring episodes of Waterloo Road, Casualty, All at Sea and Cucumber.
As well as television, Tupele has also starred in a variety of theatre productions.
The star played Velma Kelly in a 2012 tour of Chicago and she also starred as Rita in Educating Rita, Paulette in Legally Blonde and Belinda Bleir in Noises Off at the Royal Court in Liverpool.
Tupele who is originally from Lancashire also starred as the Wicked Queen in Snow White at the Flora Pavilion in Wirral.
The booked and busy actress recently became a mother in January to her son, Maddox and has taken like a duck to water with her mothering duties.
Tupele and her long-term partner of 10 years Mark Flanagan have been updating their fans of their son’s progress and have shared sweet snaps of the little tot.
After her son’s arrival earlier this year, Tupele told her followers online: “Cannot applaud & thank enough, all the kind, incredible staff & heroic midwives & Drs at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester who looked after me & helped safely deliver my beautiful boy Maddox.
“It’s the best place to have a baby. From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you.”
Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV
