She began presenting as a teenager and later landed a role on The Hot Desk in 2016 in a music interview show.
Maya then became known for presenting shows like Channel 4’s The Circle and Stand Up to Cancer. She also featured on 2020’s Big Fat Quiz of the Year and has been a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

Her most well-known relationship was with rapper Stormzy, their four-year relationship came to an end in 2019.
Initially, it was believed that the two broke up as they wanted to focus on their respective careers, but cheating rumours have since sprung up.
In his song ‘lessons’, Stormzy appeared to address the split and lyrics confessing that he had “done the dirt” on Maya, but has since denied this ever happened.

Maya’s first boyfriend was tragically killed when she was just 16.
