Maya was born on August 14, 1994 in Bristol and has become a familiar face on our TV screens and on the radio. According to a report by Capital FM, Maya Jama is worth £1.5million.
She began presenting as a teenager and later landed a role on The Hot Desk in 2016 in a music interview show.
Maya then became known for presenting shows like Channel 4’s The Circle and Stand Up to Cancer. She also featured on 2020’s Big Fat Quiz of the Year and has been a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
Away from her life on the screen, Maya has a modelling career to look after and has appeared for Pretty Little Thing and JD Sports, as well as launching her own skincare brand, MIJ.

Due to her popularity, Maya Jama’s dating life has come under huge interest from her fans and admirers. The 27-year-old is currently dating Australian professional basketball player Ben Simmons, who appears on the court for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA.
They are believed to have been dating since May 2021.
Her most well-known relationship was with rapper Stormzy, their four-year relationship came to an end in 2019.
Initially, it was believed that the two broke up as they wanted to focus on their respective careers, but cheating rumours have since sprung up.
In his song ‘lessons’, Stormzy appeared to address the split and lyrics confessing that he had “done the dirt” on Maya, but has since denied this ever happened.
“If there was a box of what a good woman is, she ticks every one, she’s amazing. But I didn’t cheat on her. I actually didn’t cheat,” he told HOT 97 at the start of 2020.

Maya’s first boyfriend was tragically killed when she was just 16.
