Soap fans can expect plenty of drama in Emmerdale, EastEnders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks next week.
Britain’s favourite serial dramas are beginning to play out the start of their festive storylines with Christmas just around the corner.
While some characters may not make it to 2023, it looks like there’s also plenty of heartbreak in store for many of our favourites.

Daily Star has taken a sneak peek at the week ahead including a shock departure in Hollyoaks, wedding drama in Albert Square and a thief steals Christmas in Weatherfield.
Coronation Street
Hunky newcomer Damon (Ciaran Griffiths hands son Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) £500 and tells him to buy Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) something flash for Christmas.
However disaster strikes as the Barlow family realise all the Christmas presents have gone from under their tree.
Damon calls at the bistro and Nick Tilsey (Ben Price) is forced to introduce him to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) but who will she react when she knows he’s Jacob’s dad?
EastEnders
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) offers Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) a final way out of his wedding to Janine Butcher (Charlie Brook) but will he take it?
Elsewhere in Walford, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) preparing for the pantomime, but he’s in a foul mood because his ex-wife Kat (Jessie Wallace) isn’t Snow White but will his plan to get in her in the role work?
Also, Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) o see the specialist about the clinical trial Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) found but Dr Cunningham breaks the news that it’s too soon to try this route and warns Lola that miracles rarely happen.
Emmerdale
It’s baby Esther’s Christening in upcoming scenes and new mum Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is touched by Noah Dingle’s (Jack Downham) support.
Also, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) are confrontational around Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and soon rub Charity up the wrong way when they argue.
Meanwhile, In his prison cell, a prison officer hands Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) some letters from someone who has been writing to him frequently. Once the prison officer is out of sight, Cain stares at the letter for a moment then rips it up but who is it from?
Hollyoaks
Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) breaks the news to Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) that he’s heading to Spain to be with his girlfriend Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter) in heartbreaking scenes set to air next week.
Elsewhere in the village, Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) asks Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) to stay and play charades and join them for Christmas dinner but things take a turn for the worst.
Child killer Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) is unhappy about his mum’s new love interest as he watches them flirting.
