Alison Hammond red-faced as Dermot O'Leary gushes over her 'glow-up'on This Morning

This Morning hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond shared a sweet moment together after he complimented her looks on the show.

48-year-old Dermot opened the show wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of cream chino trousers, while ITV legend Alison wore a matching bright green suit.

She had her hair styled in a classy updo, with a bun and swooping side fringe, and accessorised with blue and gold earrings to compliment her natural make-up.

Dermot addressed viewers and told them that Mother’s day is a “very special day” in the studio.

He said that they were bringing back a “This Morning classic” in celebration of the big day and one lucky viewer had been invited in for a makeover.

Now that Covid restrictions have eased, the makeover team are now allowed to work their magic and transform one fan’s mum with an image overhaul.

Alison was excited to get the “glam squad” back together and cut to This Morning’s beauty expert Bryony Blake to discuss her plans.

She spoke to Sarah about why she nominated her mother for a makeover and then cut back to the studio.

Dermot assured viewers that she will be “in safe hands” with the “best in the business” as Alison mentioned that she “loves a glow up”.

A confused O’Leary wondered whether it was another word for makeover, which Alison confirmed that it was “just another word for it”.

Alison joked: “I’ve had a glow up today!”

Dermot made sure to tell his co-host how good she looked

Dermot replied: “You don’t need a glow up, you were born glowed up! You’re all glowed up, baby!”

His co-star laughed at the compliment as she said that she “wished she was” and offered to show him a picture of what she “really looks like in the morning”.

The ex-X Factor host urged Alison: “Don’t show me those, I like you just the way you are.”

The sweet sentiment left them both laughing

It seems as though Dermot’s compliments inspired viewers to rush to Twitter and do the same, as many gushed over the presenter’s good looks.

One fan said that they thought she looked “absolutely incredible”, while another thought she “looked good in green”.

A kind viewer tweeted that she looks “lovely” and “really suits” the green ensemble.
