Ant and Dec admit banter from new show Limitless Win got censored by ITV bosses

Ant and Dec have admitted some of the banter on their new ITV family game show Limitless Win got censored.

The pair got so caught up in the action they started to turn away and whisper to each other about the contestants’ choices and decisions.

Producers thought their “discussions” might be TV gold and tried to capture them on camera.

But when they played the footage back, it seems the Geordies’ lingo couldn’t be aired.

Dec said: “There is a little bit of us turning away and talking and we were doing it in all the rehearsals – turning around.

“In the end they put a camera over that side so they could take a shot of us and listen in to what we were saying.

“There was a little bit of eavesdropping and we were going ‘I don’t think that’s right’ and ‘I don’t think they’re right what they are saying.”

Then Ant laughed: “Not all of it was broadcastable!

“Normally we text each other relentlessly if we are watching TV shows at home.

“The thing is you have got to stop everything that is internal.

“The brain that normally shouts out at the telly – you have got to mute that.”

Their big new game show Limitless Win starts on ITV on Saturday.

Contestants must answer questions involving numbers in a bid to win as much money as they can – with no limit to the amount of money they can have in the pot.

But if they get the answer wrong they crash out with nothing.

There will be a total of five hour-long episodes in Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win series one, with new episodes airing weekly on Saturday nights throughout January.

Limitless Win starts on TV on January 8 on ITV and ITV Hub
