Ant and Dec have defended I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Boy George after he was slammed by fans for being “two-faced”.

On Saturday night (November 20), fans of the ITV1 reality show were unimpressed when Boy George complained about his fellow campmates.

The 80s pop icon explained how he didn’t think that his co-stars were “being themselves” when he vented to Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh.

Boy George’s complaints came as the campmates – who he referred to as “The Brady Bunch” – played a game of What Time Is It Mr Wolf?

Defending the group, Seann said: “I’d rather be The Brady Bunch than there be conflict.”

“You hate conflict don’t you?” asked George, before added: “I feel like I’m at a party I’m not invited to.

“I feel so stifled when everyone’s so well behaved.”

As the campmates continued to play, George fumed: “B******s Mr Wolf. People aren’t being themselves and I see it.”

Fans took to social media in an instant to brand Boy George “two faced”.

One person penned: “What is the point of boy George been on the show he’s done, nothing but whinge he is a two-faced.”

While another person added: “Love how Boy George wants people to be themselves but yet he’s the biggest two faced twat in there #ImACeleb.”

When Saturday night’s show concluded and Twitter swirled with viewers’ opinions, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly hosted a live chat on Instagram.

The Geordie duo addressed the comments that branded Boy George as “two faced” when they said to fans: “You like drama. That’s the whole point.”

Ant stuck up for George when he said: “I like the fact George is very set in his ways and he’s not going to pretend to be somebody is not.

“He’s his authentic self and that’s good,” he continued.

Fans expressed how they think that the Karma Chameleon singer “only wants to cause trouble”, which left Ant defending him once again.

He said: “I don’t think he does. He thinks some people in there are fake.”

Dec then chimed in: “I don’t think he is two-faced. He’s telling everyone what he’s thinking,”

“He told Matt what he thought. It took a little while but he did,” added Ant.
