BBC Breakfast fans want Victoria Fritz to be permanent host as she replaces Sally again

BBC Breakfast fans enjoyed seeing Victoria Fritz on their screens for a second day and have called for her role to be made more permanent.

Sally Nugent and Jon Kay normally present the morning show from inside the studio on Monday to Wednesday, but there was a major format shake-up once again.

The 38-year-old replaced Sally on the red sofa and presented solo in the studio once again while Jon reported live outside 10 Downing Street.

Like yesterday, the 52-year-old held his spot outside the London residence as the country prepares to welcome Rishi Sunak as the next Prime Minister.

But it was Sally’s absence that got the viewers talking as they took to social media to point out how great a job Victoria was doing, with many exclaiming that she should sit on the red sofa more often.

One penned: “Vivacious Victoria doing a marvellous presenting job today I’m sure we all agree.”

“Victoria is my new favourite on #BBCBreakfast,” added a second.

A fourth wrote: “Who’s this presenting #BBCBreakfast can we have her instead of Sally.”

Echoing these thoughts, another gushed: “#BBCBreakfast loving the new presenter, a nice fresh look and a lovely voice.”

Victoria branded herself the “luckiest woman alive” back in August after she was given the opportunity to step into Sally’s shoes once again.

The presenter headed out for drinks and a meal with Ben Thompson, alongside business correspondent Ben Boulos and excitedly told her followers: “Ssshh… whisper it… But the stars have aligned… this may well be your line-up for tomorrow morning on @BBCBreakfast… Luckiest woman alive?”
