BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty cheekily quips at driver who 'nearly ran over' her

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty was “nearly run over” by a car in the heart of Manchester, as she cheekily quipped back at driver online.

On Friday (April 29), one user tagged the 47-year-old on Twitter to apologise for his driving after he nearly struck down the brunette beauty on her way home from work.

The user explained he was attempting to find a parking space in the city centre when he almost knocked down the newsreader in the street.

And it appears as though the TV presenter kept things lighthearted she launched to the social media site to share her cheeky response in full view of her 270.1k followers.

He went on to explain: “Trying to find the Lowry carpark and not looking where I was going. Have a great weekend.”

It comes after the radio presenter urged her new colleague to “ask for help” after she discussed her new role on social media.

On Thursday (April 28), the BBC star took to Twitter to comfort her fellow broadcaster as she revealed she also struggled while working in the BBC offices.

Laura Conder, who has just announced she will be joining the BBC as a Journalism Researcher, had a sweet exchange with Naga in front of her 441 followers online.

She declared: “I’ve got news time. Next month I will be joining the @BBCNews as a Journalism Researcher in News Intake.

“Still suffering from massive imposter syndrome about it but so incredibly happy about going into a dream role so early in my career,

“Sadly that does mean that I will be leaving @BedsLive (Bedfordshire Live). It’s been an absolute privilege to cover my home patch as my first proper journalism job.

Laura added: “Luton is such a fantastic place and it will always be home. I will also not be renouncing my crown as the Queen of Luton ever.

“Thank you to all the wonderful press officers, people and amazing individuals of Luton and Bedfordshire who’ve let me tell their stories. It’s been an honour.”

It was at this point that the raven-haired beauty shared some words of encouragement with the young journalist.

She wrote: “Hi Laura – Welcome! I also often feel imposter syndrome – it’s not so unusual.

“Do your best, ask for help and well done on the dream role!”
