BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty issues sweet message as new co-star joins show

Naga Munchetty was thrilled to find out a new presenter was joining her at BBC Breakfast.

The famed BBC broadcaster took to Twitter to send a sweet message to her brand new colleague on Monday (May 23) in full view of her 270k followers.

The new BBC Breakfast recruit is Hannah Miller, who announced she was leaving ITV to join the BBC as a business presenter.

Hannah previously worked as ITV’s North of England Correspondent, but now she’s set to work with the likes of Naga, Sally Nugent, Jon Kay and Carol Kirkwood on Breakfast.

Revealing the news, Hannah said: “I have a new job..!

“Looking forward to a fresh challenge with the team at @BBCBreakfast. Thanks to some incredible friends and colleagues for their support over the past seven years @itvnews.”

Naga replied to the tweet and told Hannah she was “Looking forward” to working with her at the BBC.

She wrote: “Welcome Hannah! Looking forward to working with you. X”

Hannah clearly appreciated Naga’s comment as she replied: “Thanks Naga – looking forward to working with you too! x”

Naga is known to send supportive messages to her BBC colleagues on social media.

Last month, she such when she gave advice to a journalist who was suffering from imposter syndrome.

Despite being a famed BBC journalist who has worked at the broadcaster for over 10 years, Naga revealed she too suffers from imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome is a common issue felt by professionals who feel they don’t deserve their job, or aren’t qualified to do it.

Laura Conder, the journalist, announced the exciting career news on Twitter, where she admitted to feeling imposter syndrome.

She began: “I’ve got news time” before adding: “Next month I will be joining the @BBCNews as a Journalism Researcher in News Intake. Still suffering from massive imposter syndrome about it but so incredibly happy about going into a dream role so early in my career.”

Naga congratulated the journalist, opened up about her own struggle with the phenomenon, and urged Laura to “ask for help”.

Naga also congratulated her BBC co-star Chris Mason, who has taken over the role of BBC’s Political Editor from Laura Kuenssberg.

She told her pal Chris it was “excellent news” alongside several clapping-hand emojis.
