BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty makes cheeky dig as co-star issues stern warning

Naga Munchetty joined her BBC Breakfast co-star Charlie Stayt on the red sofa on Saturday morning (December 10).

As the weather starts to get far cooler, Naga and Charlie welcomed their weather lady Helen on-screen to share some information about the temperature and likelihood of snow.

Helen started the segment in Qatar to give insight into the temperatures while the World Cup is on and told Naga that she “didn’t want to know how cold it is”.

While Helen kicked it off by sharing the warm temperatures in Qatar, she quickly went to a shocking -2C in the north of the UK before explaining that snow showers were on their way.

She explained that a few centimetres of snow is expected and warned it was “icy”, before adding that there will be icy fog too which would be difficult to clear.

Helen warned that sunshine would be disappearing and temperatures would be dropping below freezing “soon” as she said it will be “another bitterly cold night” with “more snow” to follow.

As Helen issued a final warning that the weather will be “really cold” and added that the UK could wake up to a “light covering” of snow.

Adding: “The cold weather is set to stay”, Naga immediately made a cheeky dig at her co-star and asked: “See why would I want to hear that?”

With a pop-up appearing on screen Naga told Helen she was “rubbing it in”, as she thanked Helen for her warning and said it was likely she was “very accurate”.

The hosts later asked viewers to send their pictures in as the snow continues to scatter around the UK.

Naga and Charlie appeared on the show together to host yet again this week – and it comes days after she made another cheeky dig while at work.

On Thursday Naga was on the show with Charlie and Tom Fletcher from McFly as Naga and Tom were seen wearing similar colours on their outfit.

She thanked Tom for “getting the memo” as she made a dig at Charlie’s navy suit, but the duo laughed it off.

The hosts take on the morning show Thursdays to Sunday.
