BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty looked positively radiant as she hit the gym to snap a ‘sweaty selfie’ to welcome in the New Year.
The Radio 5 Live presenter took a close-up snap of herself beaming at the camera, surrounded by a backdrop of treadmills and exercise bikes at her gym.
Naga looked a far cry from her usual self in the selfie, opting to train in a hot pink halter-neck top and leaving her shoulders bare to bask in the winter sunlight.
Her dark brunette hair was fluffed into natural curls atop her head, and Naga opted for a pair of bright orange wireless earphones to rock out while she worked up a sweat.
The star opted for minimal make-up for the down-to-earth snap, with just a bit of eyeliner and red lipgloss to give her that dewy glow.
Naga simply captioned the sun-drenched snap: “Sunshine in the New Year! Hope 2022 is a good one for you x #Running.”
Her fans flocked to the comments section to shower her with love, with one writing: “Happy New Year! Thanks for being the ray of sunshine in a murky news world.”
“Naga you beautiful girl, Happy New Year!” another fan gushed, as a third posted: “Happy New Year… hope all good things and happiness come your way in bucket loads through the new year… have a good one.”
A fourth fan chimed in: “Very pretty lady!”
Naga is known on Instagram for her infamous ‘sweaty selfies’ after her intense running workouts.
It comes after BBC Breakfast fans were left concerned for Naga and her co-host Charlie Stayt, as they were both absent from their usual end-of-week stint on the red sofa.
Sally Nugent and Dan Walker had also been absent from the programme last week.
Instead, 39-year-old Katherine Downes returned to the show, hosting alongside Ben Thompson and Chris Mason alternatively.
Katherine shared a selfie of her alongside Chris ahead of their partnership debut, writing to her followers: “Completing a hat trick of co-hosts today. First, giant of the dance floor Dan Walker, then business bigwig Ben Thompson, now political heavyweight Chris Mason. Last BBC Breakfast of the year!”
However, there was a little bit of confusion as she announced in November that she was resigning from her BBC role, tweeting: “So proud to have broadcast from this sofa (and other BBC sofas) for the last decade. But after 14 years at the BBC, it’s time to move on.
“I’m leaving the Sports News studio later this month to concentrate on commentary and presentation.”
