Marilyn Monroe impersonator and former Britain’s Got Talent star Suzie Kennedy has slammed Netflix’s Blonde film and dubbed it as “assassination of an icon”.
The stunning comedian who starred on BGT in 2020, appeared on James Whale Unleashed on TalkTV last week.
Appearing on the late night show on Friday night (September 23), Suzie spoke about the new Netflix film which was dropped onto the platform that same day.

Starring Ana De Armas, the film is described as “a look at the rise to fame and the epic demise of actress Marilyn Monroe, one of the biggest stars in the world”.
Speaking on James Whale’s TalkTV show, Suzie slammed the film after watching it at a cinema in Chelsea.
James asked Suzie why she had been upset, explaining how when she arrived he thought she was “going to cry”.
Getting emotional on the show, Suzie said: “If the film was like the trailer I’d be sitting here going ‘isn’t it lovely’ because the casting is great, she looks amazing.”
Adding that the film is “nothing like that [the trailer]” and branding it as “an absolute assassination of Marilyn Monroe’s legacy.”
Netflix’s Blonde is based on a novel written by Joyce Carol Oates – a book that Suzie read half of “before throwing it in the bin”.
Suzie noted how it’s not stated that it is in fact based on a book until “right at the end” of the film and in “tiny little writing”.
Elsewhere in the interview Suzie touched on a “group sex scene” that features in the film, as well as Marilyn being “dragged” into the then-President’s bedroom while drunk where she was told to perform sex acts on him.
Suzie detailed how some of the scenes from Blonde were very X-rated, even with a point-of-view shot of the Hollywood star performing a sex act.
“This is an assassination of an icon,” the BGT star added, before going on to say that the film is “terrible”.
Writing on Instagram about the movie, Suzie added: “That film was an assassination on a woman who cannot defend herself. It was a violation of my eyes. It also violated the memories of Charlie Chaplin Jnr and President Kennedy.”
And in a different post she penned: “But us, her fans, are there to defend her and set the record straight. She did not deserve this treatment. I am heartbroken for her legacy.”
