Big Brother is set to return to our screens bigger and better than ever, with a surprising twist for the new series.
Big Brother bosses are bringing back the classic Diary Room but this series will be Big Brother VIP, similar to the current Australian series that features stars such as Caitlyn Jenner, Meghan Markle’s brother Thomas and Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power.
The reality star appeared on Married At First Sight Australia in 2019 and has managed to land a spot on the next series of the UK show Celebs Go Dating.
Upon its dramatic return, E4 has admitted that things in the Big Brother house will be a little different to what we’re used to – namely, the absence of the actual house.
The celebrities will be residing in a hotel instead, with the winer taking away a cash prize for charity.
The channel released a statement about the next season: “The Diary Room doors are preparing to open Down Under.”
“Over 11 episodes, this series will see 12 celebrities live together in Big Brother’s first ever ‘luxury hotel’, but of course, there’ll be a Big Brother twist waiting for them, as well as the chance to win a $100,000 prize for charity.”
Other celebrities in the Australian series are Survivor contestant Luke Toki, model Ellie Gonsalves, actor Bernard Curry.
The Australian series aired in November, hosted by presenting powerhouse Sonia Kruger, but the British version hasn’t been on air in the UK since 2018.
Vlogger Cameron Cole was the winner of the final series and Channel 5 released a statement before the season began: “The forthcoming series of Big Brother will be the last – of either celebrity or civilian versions – on Channel 5.”
“We’d like to thank Endemol and all of the production team who have worked tirelessly to make the show a success.”
The show began in 2000 and has been presented by Davina McCall, Brian Dowling and Emma Willis. The spin off show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side has been presented by both Dermot O’Leary and Rylan Clark.
