Britain's Got Talent fans fuming as they call for ban on child acts on ITV show

Britain’s Got Talent faced a backlash from angry viewers who complained there were too many infant acts on the ITV talent show.

Some of the fuming fans suggested there should be a separate version of BGT dedicated to younger acts, such as ITV’s The Voice Kids.

Others simply offered a scathing review of the action-packed episode – even comparing it to a “school talent show”.

The hit talent show featured several acts from little ones on Saturday night (May 21) – which saw the auditions come to a close.

They included nine-year-old magician Ryland and sweet Skylar, seven, who performed an epic dance.

Both acts sailed through to the next round of the ITV show with four ‘yes’ votes from Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

However, many punters weren’t impressed by the sheer amount of juniors auditioning on their telly screens, and they flocked to Twitter to air their frustrations.

One commented: “There are way too many kids on #BritainsGotTalent this year, they should have their own series and leave this to the adults. #BGT.”

A second said: “More kids? Really need a kids version of #BGT & have 16yo & over on the main show.”

A third wrote: “Urgh is this BGT the kids edition? #BGT.”

Another added: “I thought this was Britain’s Got Talent and not you’re average school talent show. #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.”

Ryland Petty won the hearts of the crowd with his dazzling magic act – and he left head judge Simon speechless.

The young lad invited Amanda onto the stage to help him out with his action-packed audition, which involved a handful of impressive tricks with Rubik’s cubes.

Ryland had asked Amanda to think of any word as she stepped onto the stage, so she chose “love”.

He then invited his fellow magicians from the Magic Circle Young Magicians Club, who each walked onto the stage equipped with a Rubik’s cube of their own.

The schoolboy later asked the audience to turn on their phone lights and instructed his fellow magician peers to hold up their Rubik’s cubes.

The whizz proceeded to tap his pals to signal them to place their cubes into a grid, which later revealed a love heart to match Amanda’s secret word – “love”.

And if that wasn’t enough to stun the judges, he whipped away the table cloth where he and Amanda had been sitting, and it spelled out the word in giant letters.

Simon admitted he was “speechless” and compared the lad to fictional wizard Harry Potter.
