Britain’s Got Talent fans have been left in awe of sweet dance group Born To Perform.
The group, which is for people with disabilities, danced to You Can’t Stop The Beat from Hairspray and had the audience up in arms as they performed an incredible routine.
Simon told the group: “It was actually one of my favourite auditions,” while the group shouted back: “Thank you!”
However, David certainly got one over on him as he declared: “I absolutely loved it guys – in fact, I loved it so much, that I’m gonna do this!” prompting jumps from the stage and tears from the judges.
While the applause continued throughout the arena, David praised the group, aged 14-24, and in the midst of his praise he stood up and slammed his hand down on the Golden Buzzer.
As the gold confetti fell from the roof tears erupted from the group as parents ran out onto the stage to join their youngsters.
David walked up to join the group as he shared his joy at the fact that they will be in the live final.
Fans couldn’t hold back their own tears either, with one person writing: “This is what BGT is about, look how happy they are. So glad that David hit the Golden Buzzer. The magic has come back to this show.”
Another wrote: “Absolutely brilliant. The kids were magic and then the Golden Buzzer. I’m not in years, you are.”
A third said: “Oh my God Born to Perform have just put me to tears! David Walliams Golden Buzzer! Best dance group I’ve seen on BGT.”
Outside of the show David also shared the news of his Golden Buzzer on his Twitter as he posted the clip of the group getting through to the live shows.
He was immediately hit with support for his decision, with one person writing: “That is what a Golden Buzzer is for David!”
Another said: “Best Golden Buzzer this year – and well deserved!”
The dance group will be heading right on through to the live final along with the Golden Buzzer act already established.
Last week Amanda Holden picked singer Loren Allred as her Golden Buzzer act, Simon Cowell picked comedian Axel Blake, while Alesha Dixon and Ant and Dec are yet to share their chosen acts.
BGT continues Saturdays at 8pm on ITV.
