Former Britain’s Got Talent finalist Lucy Kay has floored fans with a candid career confession as she revealed what life was like after taking part on the ITV talent show.
The 31-year-old singer rose to fame on the hugely popular reality show back in 2014, and it’s fair to say her life has turned upside down since she took part on the show.
After the show, the brunette beauty found herself singing with award-winning singer Andrea Bocelli and performing in sell-out arenas up and down the country.

But when the Covid pandemic took over, the opera singer confessed she was forced to make a dramatic career U-turn as theatres closed down all over the world.
After travelling to Norway, Lucy was forced to find a job to stay in the country, but the only role available was a job as a gravedigger.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the TV star confessed what it was like to work in a graveyard during such uncertain times.
She said: “Obviously through Covid I had to change career for a while and so I then worked in a graveyard for a few months in Norway.
“In order to get my residency there, I had to take a job but there was nothing open – not bars or anything so I took that [gravedigging role] and that was fine.
“I loved it, I loved working outside and digging and everything. It was great. But the weird thing is my mum was like, ‘Okay so you been on stage and you’ve sang with Andrea Bocelli and now you’re working in a graveyard’.”
The singer went on to confess that she found the job to be “quite calming” despite many people finding the role spooky.
Lucy confessed: “And I had a sense of calm around certain graves that I worked on, it was more of a calming presence than a scary one which was not what I was thinking.
“I thought I would be very freaked out but there were loads of beautiful moments that stood out while I was working there.”
She admitted that sometimes she would talk to the wildlife while working in the cemeteries that helped to stop her from freaking out.
The singer continued: “There was a robin that flew on one of the graves and he would stay there for ages while I was planting and I was just talking to it – people probably thought I was crazy.
“But it stayed for a while and I just thought, well some people think robins are signs and stuff like that but I just they had a very calming presence.

“So nothing spooky happened to me but I do think that there is a higher entity than us – what that is I don’t know.”
Now, Lucy has returned to her singing career and is set to take on the role of Snow White in the Christmas Pantomime production of the Disney film at Middleton Arena over the festive period.
