Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon was recently hospitalised after the 51-year-old actor suffered a “cardiac” emergency.
The Hollywood star is known for his role as Xander Harris across all seven series of the sci-fi teenage show from 1997 to 2003.
Over the past few years, the actor has struggled with his health following his serious spinal injury which he has since had two major surgeries to correct.

In his latest Instagram post, a member of his family posted a lengthy statement alongside a picture of him sleeping on a hospital bed as they explained his recent health battle to his loyal legion of fans online.
It read: “Nicky sends his love and wanted me to apologize that he hasn’t been going live as much as lately and to give everyone an update.
“Nicky is doing fine now but he had to be rushed to emergency about two weeks ago because of a cardiac incident (tachycardia/arrhythmia).
“Some of you might remember he had a similar incident after his second spinal surgery last year (for Cauda Equina) but this time.
“He is trying to get a little more rest and has been concentrating on medical appointments.”
Fans of the actor soon flooded to his comments section to pass on their well wishes to him as he continues to recover in hospital.
One user penned: “Sending healing prayers,” while another posted: “Sending love and well wishes over. Have a speedy recovery [heart emoji].”
It comes after Nicholas’ partner Sarah Allison opened up about the actors serious spinal injury after he slipped on ice during the winter months.

The caption read: “Nicky slipped on ice a few days ago & hurt his back. He’s having a hard time sitting up or getting comfortable.”
She confessed that the coupled were trying to arrange an appointment with the doctor as soon as possible but reassured his followers that he was being thoroughly taken care of at home.
“In the meantime, Dr. Green (dog) & Nurse Jeff (cat) are trying to make him as comfortable as possible.”
