Cameron Diaz admits she 'never washes her face' 7 years after quitting Hollywood

Actress Cameron Diaz has compared herself to a “wild beast” after she opened up about her life since she escaped from Hollywood life.

The 49 year old left her movie star life behind after she married rockstar Benji Madden in 2015 and the couple share a son together.

She has officially declared herself as an “off-the-radar” mother.

Speaking on Drag Race icon Michelle Visage’s podcast Rule Breakers, she shared: “I just go back to the trap of it all, especially in our society, like what we value, what we think is important. Look if it’s important to you, that’s fine.”

She went on: “I am absolutely a victim to all of the societal objectifications and exploitations that women are subjected to. I have bought into all of them myself at certain times.”

Diaz admitted it was “hard not to look at herself” and “judge against markers of beauty”, before she called herself a “wild animal” and a “beast”.

Cameron said that for the last eight years she has kept a low maintenance lifestyle and has streamlined her beauty routine since she took a step back from the limelight.

“I don’t care, literally the last thing I think about on a daily basis, like maybe not at all during the day is what I look like,” she said, before explaining that she “never washes her face” and has a “billion products that she never uses”.

Diaz also told Michelle Visage that she will treat herself “twice a month, if she’s lucky” by using some of the products but that she’s mostly “not in that place right now”.

The actress, who has an estimated net worth of $140 million, said that her main goal is to “stay strong” and is thriving since she feels that “50 is different than 40”.

She has previously spoken to InStyle about her thoughts on her new, calmer life: “I’ve given more than half of my life to the public. I feel it’s OK for me to take time for myself now.”

Diaz seems happy with her new life path and told her friend and fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow in 2020 that she feels “at peace” after leaving the glitz and glamour of Hollywood behind.
