Casualty viewers were not happy when David Hide’s ex-wife appeared in the BBC One medical drama as she urged her ex to speak about their son’s shooting.
Ollie, the son of David and estranged mum Rosalene went on a brutal shooting rampage alongside his pal Rob at their school, Carsbury Park High School.
Their horrific actions killed several students, with Ollie later becoming a victim of his own crime before dying in the emergency department ward.

But while David has tried to keep a clear head and put the incident to the back of his head, his ex-wife is hoping that he will be able to open up about their son.

“Back off Rosalene #Casualty,” said one.
While a second added: “Poor David #Casualty.”
A third viewer went on to say: “David’s ex-wife is back!”
“Rosalene is NOT what David needs right now… #casualty,” fumed another.
David’s ex-wife had hoped that he would open up to a journalist about Ollie’s actions in an attempt to clear his name and get the message out about who the real Ollie was.

Prior to this, David had attempted to get Ollie out of his life including all of his possessions as he torched them, minus the blue teddy bear that he used to sleep with.
Despite David’s decision to not speak to the journalist, the woman in question poses as a patient and begged David to speak to her after her cover had been blown.
However, David again refused to speak to the reporter and insisted that nothing can take away from the fact his son murdered a group of teens in cold blood.
The nurse later fumed with his ex-wife after discovering she leaked David’s place of work with the reporter as she revealed a study showed that Ollie was “different” to Rob.

Rosalene later claimed that David’s battle with Bipolar could have been a factor in his decision to go on a shooting rampage as he struggled to open up about his emotions before she blamed David for the reason behind Ollie’s actions.
She explained: “She showed that Ollie and Rob were different, psychologically, their upbringing, if Ollie had never met Rob,” before David realise the article would be to clear Rosalene’s name, not Ollie’s.
Elsewhere, she turned up at David’s house to apologise for her earlier actions as she admitted she blamed neither herself nor David for Ollie’s actions.
But Rosalene was devastated when she discovered that David had torched Ollie’s possessions apart from his blue bear, however, she broke down into tears when David disclosed the contents of Ollie’s journal which documented his suicidal thoughts.
