Celebrity Gogglebox star Woody Cook has revealed how the spirit of his grandfather sent him signals from beyond the grave.
The son of radio presenter Zoe Ball and DJ Norman ‘Fatboy Slim’ Cook reckons he has had several ghost encounters, including one spooky event just before his 15th birthday.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Woody said: “I’ve had a few ghost experiences and almost ended up doing a ghost show, but it fell through.

“Two hours before my 15th birthday, the lights started flashing in my house.
“They used to flash once or twice then stay on, but it got to about 10 times and I was counting saying, ‘Wouldn’t it be weird if it flashed 15 times for my 15th birthday?’ And it did.” Woody reckoned it could be his grandad, Norman’s father, trying to make contact.
He adds: “I said, ‘Maybe it’s my grandad,’ as he died a year before that happened.
“I said, ‘Do it again,’ and it did. At that point we were freaking out.
“For it to do it 15 times then to stop and do it when I say, it’s the sort of thing my grandad would have done – he was a really cheeky kind of guy.”
Gogglebox viewers have loved seeing the close bond Woody has with his Radio 2 Breakfast Show host mum Zoe.
Woody adds: “For some people, it’s a job to hang out with their mum because it’s painful.
“But for me, because the sparks fly, it’s a joy. We chat nonsense and across the many hours, we eventually say something funny.”
Zoe’s dad, children’s TV boffin Johnny Ball, recently joined the pair on Celebrity Gogglebox and plans are on the cards for him to return.
Woody says: “It was definitely a moment, so hopefully the three-generation thing is back next year.”
The 21-year-old, who has also appeared on Channel 4 reality show The Circle, shrugs off comparisons to his famous parents.
“Whether anyone else wants to compare me to my parents, it will never matter,” says Woody.
“I was crying when people voted for me on The Circle.
“I felt good enough and can put it on my tombstone.”
Last week, he spun tunes on the roof of a Häagen-Dazs van, together with singer Pixie Lott, as part of the brand’s #DontHoldBack campaign.
Woody says: “To get a job where there’s ice cream and music as well is the dream.”
But there’s no chance of seeing the bisexual lad, who won praise for coming out in 2019, in Casa Amor.
He says: “If they said Love Island called, I’d be terrified – I couldn’t do that.
“I was always the nerd at the back of the class, so I’d go on there and curl up in a ball in the corner.
“There’s nothing wrong with it, but I’m a weirdo. Under that scenario, I’d go loopy.”
Woody Cook DJ’d on the rooftop of the Häagen-Dazs ice cream van taking it’s #DontHoldBack spirit to revellers celebrating summer to expect the unexpected. The Häagen-Daz van will be at Edinburgh’s St James Quarter this Saturday and Sunday with Arielle Free
