Christine McGuinness admits 'she's given up' after 'Christmas shopping failure'

Christine McGuinness lifted the lid on her Christmas “failure” following a recent shopping trip.

The 34-year-old reality TV star told fans she “hated” shopping during the festive season as she returned to her car with no gifts.

The former Real Housewives star took to Instagram Stories, where she was filmed sitting in her car looking frustrated as she shared the details about her day.

Christine told fans: “I have just attempted Christmas shopping, and it was a massive fail.

“I have just got back in the car with a headache, some chips and I did buy a bottle of water, but I left it at the till. It’s just a really terrible time for me.

“I can’t do shopping, I hate shopping anyway and I tried to be more organised this year and did loads online and none of it has turned up.”

Christine was fed up with shopping

The mum-of-three added: “The kids are sorted, which is the most important thing and I am happy about that. But I have given up, I’m not doing it. I’ve left with nothing but a headache.

“See that sunset over there, I’m gonna go and find that. That’s just so much better. I’d rather look at the sunset than go shopping.”

It comes after Christine opened up about her first Christmas since her split from the father of her three children, Paddy McGuiness.

Christine confesses she’s ‘given up’

The Top Gear host and former Real Housewives of Cheshire star announced they had separated back in July following rumours their 11-year marriage had come to an end.

Christine told OK! Magazine that the family will be spending Christmas together as it is “what the children are used to” and they’re unaware of their parents’ separation.

Christine and Paddy split earlier in the year

She explained: “We don’t know what the future holds or how it’s going to be moving forward, but we’ll try to keep things as normal as possible.

“We’re amicable. I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine.

“I would never let the children be aware of anything other than us being happy and alright, because they’re so young and innocent.”
