Coleen Nolan's life – sex confessions, lavish post-divorce home and cancer heartache

TV presenter Coleen Nolan has been delighting viewers as part of the ITV daytime programme Loose Women, after finding success as part of the singing group The Nolans.

Coleen recently hit back at claims that there was an off-set feud on Loose Women, and speaking about the allegations, Coleen tweeted: “Nothing printed… today is true,” adding that she would be seeking legal advice.

Her fellow Loose Women stars also rushed to support her, with co-star Janet Street Porter saying on social media: “I love working with Coleen Nolan and we’ve never had a single disagreement- sorry if that’s not ‘news’ xx.”

Throughout her time on Loose Women and on our TV screens, Coleen has become a fan favourite and has also spoken openly about her love life, her relationship with her sisters and her stunning new home.

Coleen Nolan has been married to two huge stars, including former EastEnders actor Shane Richie, who played Alfie Moon in the soap.

The couple were married from 1990-1999, and had two children together – Jake and Shane Jr.

However, their marriage came to an end after it was revealed that Shane had been having an affair.

Both Coleen and Shane have spoken about the affair in their respective autobiographies, with Shane telling The Guardian: “What I did to Coleen was unforgivable and I could never apologise enough.”

However, Shane added that the two had remained on good terms with one another, and that he also attended the christening of Coleen’s third child, Ciara.

Following her divorce from Shane Richie, Coleen married guitarist Ray Fensome in 2007, with who she had daughter Ciara.

Ray even performed in the band during The Nolans: In the Mood for Dancing tour in 2009, as well as working on productions such as The Truth About Beauty.

However, the couple announced in 2018 that their marriage was over, with Coleen telling The Mirror: “Me and my husband Ray are divorcing.”

She added that she had been “fighting with every fibre of her being” to make it work, but said: “There is too much dividing me and Ray.

“We can’t go back. And my future is going to be very different to the one I’d imagined back then.”

Since divorcing ex-husband Ray Fensome, Coleen has revealed that she has a new mystery boyfriend that she met on the popular dating app Tinder.

She revealed a racy confession about her new partner to The Mirror, saying that her new boyfriend has “awoken a tiger” in her.

She said: “He’s kind, caring, funny, romantic and the sex is great. He’s awoken something in me.

“He’s awoken a tiger, which I didn’t know was there.

“The best thing is that for the first time in my life I know for sure I am with a man because I want to be and not because I feel I need to be.”

Although her partner’s identity remains a mystery, she said that he makes her very happy and that she feels like she is “20 again.”

Coleen showed off her stunning new country home on social media last year, where she lives with 15 animals such as her adorable dogs and cats.

The presenter moved into the gorgeous Cheshire home following her divorce from ex husband Ray Fensome, and speaking about the move on Loose Women, she said: “We had to do it while we were social distancing, so it took three cars and a really small van, it took 12 and a half hours for us to move 20 minutes up the road. With 15 animals.”

Since then, Coleen has given a fans a glimpse into her new home, including one sweet snap where one of her dogs is sitting in a wicker chair in the huge garden, where there is plenty of space for the animals to run around.

She also shared snaps of the inside of her home, including a cosy living area complete with a grey corner sofa, oak beams and beige walls for a chic finish.

Other rooms had a pop of colour, including a smaller blue sofa, while her kitchen included a stylish eating area complete with cushioned sofas and a rustic wooden table.

Fans even got to see Coleen’s chic bedroom, decorated with cream and blush pink furnishes and finished with beautiful fairy lights.

Coleen has also shared that the home has enough space for her children to come and stay, as well as her new partner.

Coleen’s youngest son Jake Roche is also a famous celebrity, performing in the band Rixton, who had a number one hit in 2010 with the song Me and My Broken Heart.

He also became familiar to TV viewers as Isaac Nuttall in the ITV soap Emmerdale in 2010, as well as appearing in programmes including Scott & Bailey and musical film Rules of Love.

In his personal life, Jake was also engaged to former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson, after the couple began dating in 2014, but the couple decided to part ways in 2016.

Tragic loss

In 2013, Coleen’s sister Bernie, who was the lead singer in The Nolans, died aged 52 from breast cancer.

Bernie had first been diagnosed with the disease in 2010, but had gone into remission in 2012 following chemotherapy and a mastectomy.

However, the cancer returned and doctors discovered that it has spread throughout her body.

Following Bernie’s death, a statement was released saying: “Bernie passed away peacefully this morning with all of her family around her.

“The entire family are devastated to have lost beloved Bernie – a wonderful wife, adoring mother and loving sister – she is irreplaceable.”

Coleen has since opened up about the death of her sister on TV programmes such as Loose Women and Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.

She broke down in tears as she told Piers Morgan: “So many families go through this. But it’s hard because, well it’s cancer. It’s hard.

“Losing Bernie was just catastrophic in our family. She was the life and soul of our family. We all pulled each other through it.”

Since the death of Bernie, two of Coleen’s sisters Anne and Linda have also been diagnosed with cancer.

Linda was diagnosed with liver cancer, while Anne was diagnosed with breast cancer, with Coleen telling Piers Morgan about the moment she found out that they had been diagnosed, after they had finished filming The Nolans Go Cruising.

She told Piers Morgan: “Me and my sisters had this fantastic opportunity to do the cruising show [The Nolans Go Cruising].

“And literally within two or three weeks of it finishing, first Anne was diagnosed again and then literally four days later Linda.

“And it was just ‘bam’. It was really shocking.”
