Comedian Jack Whitehall rakes in £5million in just two years after career U-turn

Jack Whitehall has raked in around £5million in the last two years.

The comic is laughing all the way to the bank, boasting assets, cash and investments worth £11m in a single firm.

His cash pot dwindled from £8.1m in 2020 to £2.4m last year (2021) as he invested his readies to ensure a better return, according to figures filed this week.

His aptly-named Jackpot Productions Ltd has paid almost £1m in Corporation Tax from 2020 to last year – making his income around five times that figure.

He also took out a director’s loan from his firm valued at £575,000.

Jack has raked it in

The 34-year-old funnyman raked in cash from a series of sold-out stand-up gigs and appearances on panel shows and Netflix smash Jack Whitehall: Travel With My Father featuring his global adventures with dad Michael, 81.

Jack also starred in Hollywood movies The Queen’s Corgi, Jungle Cruise and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

He is now richer than his businessman dad who acts as his agent and is estimated to be worth £10m.

The comic’s healthy-looking accounts were filed with Companies House.

Michael, who counted top actors Dame Judi Dench, 87, and Colin Firth, 62, as clients, has previously claimed he spent £5,000 to fix his son’s teeth.

“They were all sticky-outy. I was like `speak properly, child’,” he said.

“So it was off to the first dentist. Those teeth were a nightmare but look at them now.

“He could do an advertisement for toothpaste. But it cost me £5,000 to fix at that point.

Jack has made some seriously good investments

“Then we moved up to the eyes. It was all boss-eyed and he wore these glasses that made him look like Harry Potter’s unattractive brother.

“That cost a fortune as well, £3,000.’’

In further Jack Whitehall news, his family were approached to do a “Kardashians-type” reality show by the BBC.

The comic’s dad Michael, 82, recently said: “It would have involved all of us – [wife] Hilary, me, Jack and our other children, Molly and Barney.”

Jack’s dad turned down Strictly

Showbiz agent Michael, who stars with Jack in Travels With My Father, also turned down Strictly Come Dancing.

He was said to have said no after realising what a big commitment it would be.

Jack’s dad said: “I didn’t want to travel all the way to Elstree all the time. I said, ‘There’s a pub here near where we live, couldn’t I rehearse there?’

“They said, ‘Oh no, we don’t think that would be possible.’ Shows how much I know about Strictly.”
