Former child star Corey Feldman has revealed that he spent a lot of time at the Playboy mansion, but admitted that he was careful to stay away from the women who lived with Hugh Hefner.
Corey shot to fame when he starred in a number of films as a teenager in the 1980s including The Goonies and The Lost Boys.
The actor is now focused on a music career, but has been outspoken in the past about issues of child abuse and exploitation in the entertainment industry.
And, speaking to Jackass star Steve-O on the ‘Steve-O’s Wild Ride’ podcast, Corey opened up about his friendship with adult industry tycoon Hugh Hefner.
Corey and Steve-O were chatting about how they had met, when they recalled that it might have been at the Playboy mansion in the early noughties.
Asked how many times he had been to the infamous mansion, Corey replied: “uhhh, 3000? I was there like every weekend.
“For me, I went up to one of the big parties, and then five years later I was invited back for a movie night.
“Then once I went to a few of the movie nights, I was invited to come Sunday during the afternoon… and when I went in the afternoon a couple of times.
“Hef liked me, he saw me around, and he was like, ‘you know what you’re a cool guy. If you want to come on Fridays or Saturdays any time, you’re welcome’.
“So my name was added to the permanent list. So basically, I didn’t have to get clearance, I could bring whatever girls I wanted.”
But, despite supposedly being well-liked by Hefner, Corey described how he had been careful not to intrude too greatly upon Hefner’s resources.
“I didn’t want to take sand from the beach, I didn’t want to be that guy. Because I knew that if I was, then I wouldn’t be invited back very often,” he explained.
“I liked my status, and I knew that my status was there because Hef saw that I respected the boundary.
“He’s the host, these are his girlfriends, stay away from his girls, you know, very simple.
“I enjoyed going up, seeing my friends, I had like a second family up there, so I enjoyed seeing all of the people that you see every week, it was like a weekly group and everybody got together.
“We watched movies, we had fun, we had laughs.”
The Playboy mansion was eventually re-purposed when Hefner died in 2017 and Corey lamented its loss, suggesting it should have been preserved as a museum.
